This Privacy Policy explains how SimplyToolz ("we", "us") handles information when you use simplytoolz.com (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this policy.
1. Your files are processed locally
All file processing (compression, resizing, conversion, PDF creation, HEIC decoding, etc.) happens entirely inside your web browser. Your files are never uploaded to, transmitted to, or stored on our servers. We have no access to the content of the files you process, and they are discarded from memory when you close or reload the page.
2. Information we collect
- File content: none. See section 1.
- Usage analytics: none. The site loads no analytics or tracking script of any kind and makes no request to any third-party server.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see our Cookie Policy.
- Technical logs: our hosting/CDN provider may automatically log technical data (IP address, user agent, timestamps) for security and reliability.
3. Optional cloud import
If you choose to import a file from Google Drive, Dropbox or Yandex Disk, we use the provider's authorization solely to retrieve the specific file you select. We do not store your cloud credentials, and access happens in your browser.
4. Legal bases (GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: your consent (analytics and advertising cookies); and our legitimate interests (keeping the Service secure and operational). You may withdraw consent at any time.
5. Your rights
Subject to applicable law (including the EU GDPR and Russian Federal Law No. 152-FZ "On Personal Data"), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent. 6. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies (e.g. theme, language, consent choice) and, with your consent, analytics and advertising cookies. See the Cookie Policy for details and how to control them.
7. Third-party services
We rely on third parties whose own privacy policies apply: the cloud-storage provider you choose if you import a file, the service that delivers our contact form when you write to us, and our hosting/CDN provider. There is no analytics provider and no advertising partner. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites linked from the Service.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under the age required by your local law (e.g. 13/16). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
9. Data retention
We do not retain your files. Analytics and log data are retained for as long as necessary for the purposes above, in line with the providers' retention settings.
10. International transfers
None. The site sends no personal data to anyone, so there is no transfer to another country to describe. Should that ever change, this section and the date above change with it.
11. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date reflects the latest version; material changes will be reflected on this page.
